Q:	What’s the difference between an encasement and a cover?
A:	These terms are often used interchangeably in reference to bedding products used to protect people from various allergic problems. Generally, an encasement indicates that the product fully encloses either the mattress or box spring. A cover may be interpreted by those familiar with allergy blocking bedding as a three-sides-only product, similar to the way a mattress pad fits. Most REMcore bedding products fully enclose mattresses and pillows. However, REMcore now offers a drawstring version of its mattress encasement, which does not fully cover the bottom of the mattress. The drawstring design eliminates the need to fully lift the mattress during application, thus making it easier and faster to put on and take off. It provides several inches of coverage underneath the mattress, and is still effective in blocking dust mite allergens from escaping.
